Rate: PAYE £13.44 per hour

12 months assignment


Start Date: ASAP

Deliverables / KPIs / SLAs:

  • Manage and report the R&D projects cost performance
  • Prepare cost reports daily, weekly and in line with required milestones.
  • Present reports in regular (weekly/monthly) meetings
  • Request and follow up remedial actions
  • Manage weekly meeting with the plant to ensure earliest adoption of key items
  • Expert user for Cost Data Warehouse (CDW) system
  • Expert user for the Innovation bank
  • Trainer for CDW and Innovation bank
  • Manage all new users registration requests
  • Liaise with the helpdesk to resolve all system issues (CDW and Innovation bank)
  • Act as the departmental administrator
  • Support controller in other cost activities when required


The Cost Reduction Promotion and Strategy function is in charge of planning and managing the lifecycle cost reduction business for all R&D projects in Europe, including Russia.

The responsibilities include:

  • Issue and maintain key reports
  • Become an Advanced user of internal cost reporting systems
  • Provide support to engineers regarding sources of data, systems and processes
  • Provide administration support for cost team
  • Periodic remote working may be required in-line with Co. policy
  • Infrequent national and international travel to may be required

Qualifications, Skills and Training Requirements

  • Interest in business management & administration
  • Strong PC skills with Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word are essential (MS Access would also be of benefit)
  • Basic knowledge of Business intelligence tools such as Tableau
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • Innovative and flexible "can do" attitude.
  • Self-motivated to plan and action activities with other sites
  • Disciplined to manage own schedule and conduct routine work on time
  • Ability to identify and develop process improvement opportunities
  • Languages: English - fluent, (Spanish or Russian would be an advantage but not essential)
