Title: AAD Hardware Component Engineer - 37511

Division: Electrical Engineering

Contract Position based at: Gaydon


Rate: - Up to £30.17/hour Ltd (£23.27/hr PAYE option)

Position Description:

AAD Hardware Component Engineer

Skills Required:

  • Electronics hardware experience
  • Electro Magnetic Compatibility
  • Experience in electrical drawings and PCB layouts

Experience Required:

  • Electronics design and integration at the system and sub-system level whilst ensuring the production of Electrical/Electronic specifications
  • Experience in automotive hardware debugging and fast prototyping, as well as instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of EMC theory and design principles and experience of practical implementation (academic or industry), with EMC test experience
  • Consideration of safety, EMC, risk, reliability and maintainability associated with the technical solution, in conjunction with subject matter experts
  • Excellent Hardware Engineering problem solving and issue investigation skills
  • Prior knowledge of network communication and EDS requirements
  • Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
  • Should have knowledge of electronic components Mosfets, Op AMPs, ADC, microcontrollers etc.
  • Should be able to test / debug circuits / logics independently

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with requirements management e.g. Doors
  • Previous experience managing suppliers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the EMC and GRADE sign off requirements for automotive commodities
  • Previous experience with packaging electrical commodities and use of software tools such as CATIA and Digibuck

Education Required:

Degree in Electronics Engineering or similar subject
