4 & 5 Axis Machining Centre Setter/Operator - Double Day Shift

Pay Range £14.85 - £17.78 + Benefits

Band 4-6 (eq £28,957 – £34,671) fully depending on experience

The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Job Description

• Setting & operating 4 & 5 axis machining centres.
• Producing a wide & varied range of highly toleranced parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
• Understand Mazak CNC controls & offer improvement ideas to the role.
• Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
• Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• Have an understanding of milling/machining centre machines.
• Have experience & can safely set & operate automated CNC loaded machine tools.
• Have experience with cutting tools, fixtures & measuring equipment.
• Have a can-do attitude.
• Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Desirable Criteria

• Can edit & alter programs,
• Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

Working hours are (Week 1: Monday to Friday 5.30am - 1.30pm) (Week 2: Monday to Thurday 2.00pm - 10.30pm Fri 2.00pm - 8.00pm).

Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
