Master Production Scheduler

JOB PURPOSE:
Be the architect of our client's production strategy! As the Master Production Scheduler, you'll develop and lead a cutting-edge production scheduling system that powers seamless operations across the supply chain. Utilising ERP architecture, you'll forecast demand, adjust production plans, and ensure flawless execution. Your role is critical to the company's ability to meet and exceed customer expectations, while driving efficiency and innovation. We are ideally looking for candidates that have worked in a general engineering, assembly or press work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the Production Vision:Design and execute a robust planning and scheduling strategy that supports long-term growth and day-to-day excellence. You'll bridge the gap between current Excel-based processes and a fully integrated EFACs MRP system.
ERP Master: Act as the go-to liaison for the ERP provider (EFACs), handling all internal change requests and ensuring the system operates at peak efficiency.
Forecasting Genius: Transform customer demand forecasts into actionable production schedules. You'll fine-tune plans to ensure on-time delivery with minimal waste.
Production Schedule Management: Own the master production schedule and keep it updated to reflect changing customer demands or internal constraints.
Inventory Maverick: Keep a watchful eye on inventory, anticipating future needs and balancing supply with demand.
Agility in Action: Adapt schedules on the fly when customer demands shift or production bottlenecks arise, ensuring the company remains flexible and responsive.
Performance Tracker: Generate insightful reports on production status, inventory levels, and progress. You'll be the source of truth for key decision-makers.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts with creativity and a solutions-driven mindset.
Efficiency Champion: Continuously enhance scheduling processes to boost operational efficiency and production flow.
Cross-Functional Collaborator: Work closely with product lifecycle teams, influencing key stages from bid to delivery by highlighting production capacities and proposing innovative solutions to meet customer expectations.
Materials Planning Leader: Translate production plans into materials requirements, helping the commercial team and procurement function stay ahead of supply needs.
Champion of Safety & Quality: Uphold our Health and Safety protocols while pushing for the highest quality standards in all production processes.
5S Advocate: Ensure the team maintains top-tier housekeeping standards with a strong 5S culture.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Education/Qualifications:
Degree level or equivalent experience
APICS CPIM certification (desirable)
Experience:
10+ years of experience in manufacturing planning with hands-on expertise in EFACs ERP systems
Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, including people, processes, materials, and assets
Experience with MS Power BI reporting (preferred)
