The Country Buyer is the main contact for  Operational facilities for any topic linked to the supply base. and covers a number of operational tasks. Covering a number of operational activities, the Country Buyer works closely with the Commodity Buyer, who is in charge of the supplier panel, the strategy and budget achievement.

The Country Buyer supports plants in detecting supply chain risks and implementing countermeasures to prevent disruption of supply. The successful candidate also manages in-sourcing / outsourcing activities, mandates parts and suppliers and identifies and implements cost saving opportunities / initiatives.

Main Activity 

Price Management - Blocked invoices, price changes in SAP and aligns with accounting department

Supply Chain Support - to support logistics team with any issue / risk around supply chain

Scope Changes - To support scope changes, in-sourcing, outsourcing and re-locations

As Senior Buyer you will:

lead problem solving relating to supply bottlenecks 

manage and negotiate requests for price increases

coordinate the supplier payment process

identify savings with plants & promote technical savings proposed by suppliers

prepare and present pre-RFQ & Sourcing in serial production phase

prepare and implement Nomination Letter in Serial Production

manage excess material between suppliers and plants

ensure proper handover of purchasing responsibilities from program to serial phase for each project

implement engineering changes in serial life

manage mandated parts and suppliers

Personal specification:

Ideally, degree qualified / minimum HND (CIPS qualified advantageous but not essential)

Strong Communication skills.

PC literate. SAP proficiency is advantageous but not essential

Strong problem-solving skills

Analytical with good attention to detail

Self-driven and result-oriented

Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and deadlines
