Tool Specialist- Saudi Arabia - 8500 SAR (Per Month) + Accommodation/Travel Allowance 

Ensuring that the tooling used in the process fulfil the quality requirements and that they are in accordance with the safety rules of the project.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Responsible to identify, develop and maintain special tooling, customer provided tooling and special purpose production tools.
  • Designs, repairs, and performs maintenance on the tools needed for specific manufacturing equipment and machines.
  • Design special tooling and fixtures using CAD software (Solid works) as required for Production requirements.
  • Identify sub-tiers for outsourcing and establish communication for proper manufacturing of tools.
  • Identify Bills of material for tooling and submit to Procurement.
  • Maintain configuration of tools as per engineering changes.
  • Develop and provide instructions to fabricate special tooling in-house.
  • Develop and provide work instructions for proper use and maintenance of special tooling.
  • Establish communication with customer and other sub-tiers to provide requirements for fabrication of special tooling to ensure that special tooling is fabricated, tested and ready prior production need.
  • Monitor tool compliance and serviceability through routine and non-routine inspections, audits and inventory checks.
  • Receive new tools and record them into ERP system
  • Improvements in the tooling and fixtures in the operation. These improvements can be of different kinds, e.g. making the process more efficient (= reduce the cost) or increasing the quality or making it safer and/or more comfortable for the workers.
  • Educate and instruct operators and inspectors on use of the tooling.
  • Educate and instruct the operators on the correct usage of tools.
  • Identify and find solutions for issues in using tools and fixtures.
  • Maintain tool record including special tooling, customer provided tooling and special purpose production tools.
  • Perform additional task as assigned by Configuration Manager.

To apply for this position, you should have the following:

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • University Degree of Technology or equivalent, having Mechanical Engineering degree is advantage.


  • Tool and Assembly Jigs Design & Precise tool manufacturing
  • Manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Safety & Environmental Standards

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design and fabrication of precise tools.
  • Advance skills in using Solid works 3D models and development of 2D drawings.
  • MS office proficiency (Excel)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical documentation such as but not limited to Technical drawings & data sheets, statement of work, and bill of materials.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal


  • Minimum 5 years of experience with minimum 3 years in similar position.
