We are working with a leading plastics distributor based in South-West Birmingham, seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager on a full time, permanent basis.  This role would suit an ambitious, hard-working individual looking for a warehouse career. 

The Assistant Warehouse Manager role will involve :-

  • Supplying our customers, which range from large industrial companies to small exhibitors which an array of plastic products.
  • Managing the process from incoming stock, and storage to supplying our customer by our own fleet of heavy goods vehicles
  • Using CNC machines and Sawyers to produce cut-to-size products.  (Training provided)
  • Use of Forklift Trucks to load and unload product. (Training provided)
  • Working with the administrative operational team to ensure a smooth process.
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager and warehouse team to ensure our customers receive the right product and the best service.

To apply for this Assistant Warehouse Manager role, you will require the following:

  • The ability to analyse and resolve problems on the shopfloor swiftly and skilfully, coupled with patience and perseverance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
  • Computer literacy for administration, understanding orders, programming our CNC and Sawyer machinery to produce cut-to-size products.
  • Good administrative skills to ensure that our warehouse operation is running smoothly including delivery of product, drivers’ tachographs, and licences.
  • Good team work to work with the manager, the team on the shopfloor and the operational team to ensure the best service for our customers.
  • A positive attitude with the appetite to learn all jobs, the ability to work at a fast pace, (we handle 120 orders per day).

  • Working Monday – Friday on morning or afternoon shift, 5.30am-2.00pm and 2.30pm-11.00pm ( 42 hours per week).
