Global Sales Director - High Precision Automation

Salary: Competitive

Location: UK wide.

This innovative industry leading SME manufactures precision automated equipment used by many of the world’s leading advanced technology companies. With a truly global presence they work across all the major industrial economies covering a diverse range of advanced technology sectors. Due to increased demand they are now seeking an experienced Global Sales Director to drive revenue growth and expand market share worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international technical sales and business development within advanced automation / capital equipment serving high technology industries and clients.

As Global Sales Director, you can expect to:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals targeting some of the world’s most well-known technology brands.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes within advanced technology sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients on a global basis, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and retention, especially among prominent brands.
  • Implement robust sales tracking systems and processes to monitor performance metrics, analyse sales data, and generate regular reports for senior management, with a particular emphasis on measuring success with respect to engagement with top-tier brands.

To apply for this role, you will need to have a good background in technical sales and business development, with an ability to foster long term business relationships, but also be capable of responding to urgent enquiries with new and existing clients.

You will also require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Proven history of success in international technical sales, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a sales leadership role supplying capital equipment into advanced manufacturing industries and leading brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in a global market environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required

This position can be based remotely with frequent travel expected to customer sites, headquarters, and other company locations as required. The role comes with a competitive salary commensurate with experience and track record of success.
