As a Vehicle Safety Crash Integration Senior Engineer, you will act as Safety PAT Leader for SV Projects. You will be working in a contract position based in Gaydon, with the option of working remotely. Please note this position is a contract role within the IR35.

In your first week in this Vehicle Safety Crash Integration Senior Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Lead problem resolution
• Design experiments for optimum development efficiency
• Use optimisation tools and methods
• Provide detailed knowledge and development experience of vehicle architectures, body systems, crash sensing and discrimination, crush zones, bumper energy management for car and pedestrian impacts, airbag and seatbelt restraints systems, high voltage energy management, liquid fuel systems etc

To apply for this role you will need practical working knowledge of high-velocity crash physics i.e Energy management, mechanics and sequencing. You'll also require:

• Automotive safety systems integration or safety component experience
• Experience in designing experiments for optimum development efficiency, e.g crash utilisation, system sled testing, mechanical component impact testing
