**An Exciting Lead Engineering Role for an Experienced CPM & /or Console Engineer with Layout Skills.**  Initially based in Cockpit Module & Interior Trim Team.

As a Lead Console Engineer in Cockpit & Interior Design & Development, you will be part of a team of engineers which has played a part in making the UK’s Best-Selling Vehicle. We are looking for an Experienced Console Engineer to lead development of the Centre Console on a Significant Minor Change. 

In this role you will lead development of the Centre Console from a Quality/Cost/Delivery point of view.

This include;

• Engineering Layout, Concept Sheet & RFQ Technical File Preparation, and Managing & Checking Digital Lot Data towards Production Release.
• Throughout the Development you will also be responsible for Managing & Reporting the Costs v Budget & overseeing the Supplier Timing Plans to ensure our Specifications & Performance Criteria are met at each Milestone.
• Good Communication & Reporting Skills are needed to make Decision Analysis Tables/Matrices, and you’ll be expected to lead concern investigations, manage suppliers & communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders including Styling, Product Planning, Purchase & other Design Sections.
• Within this role you will be at the core of R&D in Europe with the opportunity to work cross functionally with employees based in Europe, India & Japan to shape the future of our European Products.

Note : This is an Engineer Role not a CAD Role though an Ability to use Teamcentre Vis / Space Vertex & /or NX is useful.

Preparation of engineering concern/root cause/countermeasure reports, decision matrices, detailed cost reports in Excel & top-level cost skylines in PowerPoint will be required.
