Purchasing Manager

Salary up to £55,000 DOE + Bonus + Car allowance + Hybrid Working

As a Purchasing Manager, you will assume responsibility and accountability for purchasing goods, materials, products, and services to ensure the company's operational needs are met.

In this Purchasing Manager role, you can expect to:

• Develop, implement and advance procurement and sourcing strategies.
• Work with strategic suppliers to improve supply chain continuity, competitive pricing and payment terms.
• Manage and forecast component and material demands and constantly look for cost down and cost out opportunities.
• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, manufacturers and internal team liaison.
• Undertake VFM reviews of existing contracts and supply agreements.
• Have full ownership and accountability of a new end to end ERP procurement system
• Work with Operations and Sales to fully develop the SIOP capability of the business 

To apply for this Purchasing Manager role, you will be a member of CIPS with a relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree, or HND, BTec Professional, NVQ Level 5 qualifications. You will also require the following:

• A minimum of 5 years' procurement experience working within a modern ERP environment. 
• Experience working within a fast paced engineered product manufacturing environment
• Experience of ERP implementation, integration, systems development, deployment, utilisation, and management.
• Be commercially astute with excellent written, verbal, presentation communication and skills
• Proficient user of Microsoft business applications particularly Excel.
