Salary circa £50,000 + Bonus and Company Car

My client is the world’s leading supplier of tools, tooling solutions and know-how for the metalworking industry. With extensive investments in research and development, they create unique innovations and set new productivity standards together with customers. These include the world's major automotive, aerospace and energy industries. They own over 3,100 patents worldwide, have 8,000 employees, and are represented in 130 countries.

On their behalf, we are looking for a technical sales and solution orientated Account Manager to cover Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and South Wales.

The purpose of the Account Manager role is to initiate and drive commercial activities, to develop, grow and maintain accounts by strengthening existing relationships and developing new ones through successful account planning. You will be responsible for driving the sales within a portfolio of customers and authorized channel partners, ensuring appropriate sales development activities and targets are delivered.

As Account Manager role, you can expect to:

  • Take market share by promoting the company's full offer of cutting tools, digital solutions, and services.
  • Coordinate with Application Specialists and support functions to deliver value-addressing solutions and generate cost-savings for customers.
  • Be data-driven and tasked with supporting sales management in providing accurate forecasts, budgets, and targets.

Applicants will need a metal cutting background with engineering cutting tools skills and knowledge. You’ll need a proven track record in delivering good business results and be experienced in commercial negotiations. Previous experience from Account Management or other Field Sales based positions is desirable as well as knowledge of managing relationships with industrial customers.
