As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of various systems, including low and high-voltage systems from housings through to complete, complex assemblies such as high-voltage batteries or control and distribution systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design of various systems from simple housings to complex assemblies as well as one-off systems such as build tooling, test rigs etc
• Stress and thermal analysis of designs
• Design model management
• Design drawing preparation and release

To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will need CAD skills, CATIA or SolidWorks (SW preferred) and PLM systems. You will also require skills in the following areas:

• A degree in an engineering subject with post graduate experience or similar
• Mechanical stress and thermal modelling
• MS Office an other applications for documentation and calculation and analysis (Word, Excel, Viseo, Project etc.)
• Experience in the design of electric vehicle systems or batteries would be beneficial.
