3rd Line Support Engineer

Location – Bedfordshire

12 Month Fixed Term

Salary - £35,000 - £42,000

A 3rd Line Support Engineer is required to join a leading business as part of a successful and established team where you will provide support to the wider business. Candidates with experience of the Manufacturing industry and providing 3rd level support within a busy IT environment would be well received.

Due to ongoing growth and vision this company, a Manufacturing business based in Bedfordshire requires a 3rd line Support Engineer with experience of providing 3rd line support for a new 12-month fixed term contract.

As the 3rd Line support engineer, you will be required to:

  • Have experience of Network design and IT security environments
  • Experience of Firewall set-up, configuration, and monitoring
  • A strong knowledge of server and server applications
  • A strong knowledge of Linux server and applications
  • SQL skills and experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • ITIL foundation certificate

The 3rd Line Support Engineer should have the following skills or experience:

  • A degree in an IT or related subject plus experience
  • MCSA certification
  • Information security certification
  • An understanding of firewall technologies
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
