Our client is a speciality manufacturer of technical machinery & equipment and they are seeking a production Quality Engineer to join their existing team. As a Quality Engineer, you will carry out quality inspections across the welding, paint and manufacturing departments.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Carry out quality inspections across the welding, paint and manufacturing departments.
- Ensure that products meet manufacturing standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure that all documentation and inspection reports are completed accurately.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operatives and the wider manufacturing teams.
- Problem solves any production quality issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Previous experience working in either a Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer or equivalent position.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of paint processes, welding standards and assembly processes.
- Able to read and work to engineering drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Experience with machinery manufacturing would be beneficial.

We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join a leading automotive engineering and testing environment based at Browns Lane, Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an advanced laboratory setting supporting scientific research and quality testing activities focused around battery cell technology and materials analysis.
Position Description
The Laboratory Analyst role will involve chemical analysis work in support of scientific research and quality testing activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing instrument calibration samples and analytical test samples from battery cell components
- Working with laboratory equipment including fume hoods, gloveboxes, calibrated pipettes, balances and microwave digesters
- Operating GC-MS and ICP equipment, therefore previous experience with these systems is essential
- Supporting Materials Engineers to maintain a safe and productive analytical workflow within the laboratory
- Following COSHH, risk assessments and all laboratory safety procedures and documentation
- Using workflow and instrument software systems
- Creating and maintaining accurate analysis records and producing basic reports using Excel and PowerPoint
- Supporting additional laboratory activities and training on equipment such as XPS, ICP-OES, TGA, DSC and XRD
- Carrying out battery cell teardowns using mechanical tools when required
- Working in line with company values focused around Safety, Quality and Delivery
Please note this is a fully onsite, practical Technician role and is not suited to hybrid or remote working.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience using Chemistry instrumentation such as GCMS or related analytical equipment
- Experience with wet-chemistry techniques
- Ideally experience using XPS, ICP, TGA and Gloveboxes
- Strong awareness and respect for working safely with hazardous materials
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety documentation accurately
Education
- Level 4 qualification in Chemistry such as HND is advantageous

The Role

Key Responsibilities

About You
We’re looking for a proactive and approachable Quality professional who is comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement on the production floor.
You will ideally have:
• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Engineer, or Quality Team Leader role within manufacturing or production
• Experience supervising or leading a small team in a factory, engineering, or production environment
• Strong understanding of ISO9001 quality management systems
• Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methods
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A practical, organised, and detail-focused approach
• Confidence working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and operations teams

QUALITY MANAGER NEEDED IN STOURBRIDGE (WEST MIDLANDS)
Are you an experienced Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, QA Manager or Quality Control Manager seeking a new job opportunity, do you have previous knowledge and experience of managing QMS, and are you looking for a day shift job?!
We are looking for a Quality Manager to join a long-standing manufacturer in Stourbridge (West Midlands), typical working hours for this job will range between a 6am-7am start, with a 4pm/4.30pm finish (44 hours per week), although there does need to be some flexibility with start and finish times depending on the business needs.
An annual salary of up to £50,000 per annum is available for the right person (DOE), due to the nature of the business previous experience within heavy manufacturing/engineering would be preferred (Foundry, Castings, Iron, Galvanising Plants, Mild Steel), but this isn't essential.
You will be responsible for a team of up to 8, working closely with the QHSE Manager and reporting directly into Manufacturing & Managing Directors.
This will be a 2 stage interview process, and the hiring manager is keen to start interviewing suitable candidates ASAP.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the company's efforts to maintain consistent product quality and implement robust process controls.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, driving a culture of quality excellence.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a formal quality management system and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and develop talent across the organisation, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for quality.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, and returns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
