We are looking for a Shipping Supervisor to ensure machines are prepared to the highest standards and shipped safely, efficiently, and on time, while meeting quality, cost, and customer requirements.
This role involves hands-on leadership, cross-functional communication, and continuous improvement of shipping processes.
Job Description
- Lead and supervise the Shipping Team in preparing machines for dispatch - Team of 20
- Coordinate and arrange trailers and loading schedules for outgoing machines
- Answer CSIRs, ensuring timely investigation and resolution
- Create, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all shipping activities
- Train, develop, and coach shipping staff to ensure consistent standards and compliance
- Complete and manage the W21 plan, ensuring targets and actions are met
- Control and manage the shipping budget, including packing costs and shipping consumables
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide regular feedback to team members
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with health, safety, and company standards
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, shipping, or dispatch
- Strong understanding of machine preparation, packaging, or heavy equipment shipping (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan shipping activities
- Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. production, ICS, transport providers)
- Ability to create and follow structured processes, including SOPs and work instructions
- Comfortable managing budgets and controlling costs
- Confident using systems, reports, and plans (e.g. W21 or similar performance tools)
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Role Overview
The Demand & Supply Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the effective alignment of customer demand with supply capabilities. Key Responsibilities
