Our client is a precision engineering company that specialising in machining solutions for a wide range of industry sectors. They are seeking a CAD Engineer/Estimator to join their existing team. As a CAD Engineer/Estimator you will focus on creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D and carry out estimating responsibilities for each project.
CAD Engineer/Estimator Responsibilities:
- Must be able to gather and work to engineering specifications
- Create detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD 2D software
- Review and update legacy drawings
- Provide technical support to the wider team
- Assist with the CAD/CAM programming when required
- Carry out estimating responsibilities for each project.
CAD Engineer/Estimator Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Design related position
- Experienced in creating 2D designs using AutoCAD
- CAD CAM experience would be advantageous
- Must be a team player

We are currently working with a world class specialist vehicle manufacturer who are developing a full range of New Vehicles in the recruitment of a Design Project Manager to work at their state-of-the-art Design Centre in the Midlands. The main responsibilities of this role will be to lead the delivery of all project deliverables, timing plans, gateways and design requirements with New Vehicle Innovation from concept stage.

As Design Project Manager you will be required to:
- Lead all project management activities at the UK Studio, supporting the development of all UK design budget requirements in line with PV, CV and Advanced Design work load plans
- Manage design meeting cadence to ensure the Design project team are aware of project timing and deliverables.
- Encourage team spirit amongst programme contributors, detailing all resource, materials, and outsource spend requirements
- Support Design budget and invoicing status to Senior Design Management and Design Global Balance Score Card initiatives
- Project manage all design deliverables in accordance with NPI product development system
- Co-ordinate and report out all gateway related Design deliverables, APEX Project Status Metrics and Milestone Success criteria document
- Generate and communicate Timing Plans, Design proposals, Project Spend and Programme Health reports to UK Design Management Team
- Support DMO Management to develop and document all RFQs outlining all project related physical property specification
- Nominated UK Design PMO Studio SPOC for TML Engineering, Marketing, PPG and VLT Team
As Design Project Manager you will have:
- A relevant engineering qualification or experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of the automotive Creative Design process
- Project management experience in an Advance Design or Production Design Studio delivery
- Ability to co-ordination and leadership of multiple cross-functional engineering teams and creative designers to resolve issues
- To manage the individual project Design issues registers, ensuring that all issues are effectively communicated to their owners and tracked through to resolution.
- Ability to create and manage key strategic partners to support project and programme delivery, create and document Design Project Management procedures and processes

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing fabricated steel products and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor?
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering specialist bespoke products for demanding industrial and infrastructure applications.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to manufacture, taking ownership of 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings and design-for-manufacture solutions.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and manufacturable engineering solutions using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Working closely with manufacturing, project, production and analysis teams, you will ensure designs are practical, compliant and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor
- Produce General Arrangement, fabrication and assembly drawings
- Generate Bills of Materials and manufacturing documentation
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles throughout projects
- Design fabricated steel structures, components and assemblies
- Ensure designs comply with BS8888 and company standards
- Conduct Designer Risk Assessments and support CDM compliance
- Collaborate with production, engineering and customer teams
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
What We're Looking For:
- HND/HNC or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent
- industry experience
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault
- Background in steel fabrication, sheet metal or heavy engineering design
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including press brake and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and BS8888 standards
- Understanding of structural behaviour, load paths and failure modes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills:
- Welding knowledge and fabrication methods
- iLogic or VB programming experience
- Understanding of tolerance analysis and tolerance stacking
- Experience with drive and control systems
- Existing SC Clearance
