A leading food manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled mechanically bias Maintenance Engineers to join their growing engineering team. The business is currently expanding, with new production lines being installed, and is looking for dedicated engineers to support ongoing maintenance as well as assist with commissioning and building the new line.

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Shift Allowance, Bonus & Benefits

Shifts Available:

  • 4 on 4 off (days & nights)

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate on the planning, construction, and commissioning of machinery for a new production line during the pre-production phase.
  • Conduct testing and fault-finding on mechanical parts of the production line to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting to support efficient production operations.
  • Analyse production data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, minimise waste, and maintain product quality.
  • Assist in training staff on new equipment and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and high standards of operation.
  • Maintain clear communication with opposite shifts regarding maintenance updates and use the in-house system to record work performed and track spare parts.

Shift Pattern- 4 on 4 off days & nights- 12 hour shifts 

Salary inclusive of shift allowance- £44,000 to £49,000 plus Benefits 

What You Will Do:

- Lead your team during breakdowns, applying your skills and expertise to resolve issues effectively.

- Carry out preventative maintenance in line with schedules, ensuring machinery operates at peak performance.

Shift Pattern- 05.30am till 13.30pm & 9.30am till 17.30pm on a 2 week rotation. 

Salary £40,000 to £43,500 plus Benefits & Overtime. 

 

What You Will Do:

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

- 4+ years of engineering experience, with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background, including fault-finding ability.

- Confidence working with process machinery and carrying out maintenance to a professional standard.

What You Will Do:

- Own the commercial and operational performance for Direct Spend category areas, including packaging and ingredients as a Procurement Category Manager.

- Develop and maintain category plans by analysing spend, supplier performance, pricing trends and market conditions.

- Lead sourcing activities such as RFQs, tenders, supplier evaluations and commercial negotiations for the Procurement Category Manager portfolio.

- Deliver savings, cost avoidance and supplier consolidation opportunities, ensuring recommendations balance cost, quality, service, risk and operational needs.

- Manage key supplier relationships, run supplier review meetings, and drive improvement actions against agreed KPIs.
