Materials to be ordered to customers’ specifications, project budget, delivered on time to the project time line and are “right first time”. Based from their purpose built manufacturing site in Birmingham the purchasing buyer will be reporting directly to the Technical Director and liaising with multiple departments to ensure a smooth and precise order to delivery is achieved. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Competitively purchase tooling and other bought out items, as requested by the Technical Director, Operations Manager and/or Project Leaders in order to start the build process on time and within budget, ensuring that the purchased items fully comply with the design specification and the Customer’s specification. Due to continued growth this leading independent provider of industrial process control & automation solutions are looking to recruit Software & Commissioning Engineers to deliver projects into their Blue Chip customer base both within the UK & Overseas Salary: Circa £35,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits Suitable for: Control Systems Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Sofrware Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, PLC/SCADA Engineer Reporting in to the Project Manager you will produce software programs both PLC and SCADA for process control and automation solutions primarily for the food and beverage industry. Key Responsibilities: The Software Engineer’s role will be to interpret customer requirements and translate into the necessary programming to match the application. Where applicable the Software & Commissioning Engineer will work with the end user to generate a FDS or URS (Functional Design Specification or User Requirement Specification) Once these documents have been generated then the Software & Commissioning Engineer will expected to either work alone or as part of a team to write comprehensive, bespoke code to successfully control the end users process as per design requirements, you may be required to write simulation code to allow for a SAT (Software Acceptance Test) to take place. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating project activities to ensure delivery of complex Test Systems and Rigs in line with customer requirements.
