Engineering Project Leader

Our client, a global automotive Tier 1 business are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Lead to help the business through a period of growth and successful project wins. It will be a longterm contract paying competitive rates OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB To lead the engineering team to robustly deliver the engineering wire harness design in line with the required timing, resolving all engineering issues in a cost and weight efficient manner. SCOPE OF THE POSITION To lead the design of automotive wire harnesses to meet the requirements of the customer and client MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead engineering team to fulfill main objective, robust design on time Supervise the timely release of all deliverables related to the team being managed: System schematics, packaging models, product drawings, testing reports, advanced manufacturing information, technical specification and documentation, engineering change documentation, ECR's, deviations, etc. Develop a technical solution to cost and weight target Highlight and perform all task force plans needed to ensure that the team fulfils the timing Responsible to know and fulfill programme deliverables to the required timing Conduct periodical internal meetings and team meetings to discuss the open issues and design reviews with the assigned team members as per Electrical Team detailed timing. Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive business are on the market for a number of EDS CAD Engineers to help boost their team. These will be long term contracts paying very competitive rates. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB To robustly design and electrically model the wire harness in line with the required timing, resolving all engineering issues in a cost and weight efficient manner. SCOPE OF THE POSITION Responsibility to design appropriate routing and packaging of vehicle wire harnesses and associated components, within the limitations of customer SDS and Lear design & manufacturing requirements. Working alongside the Project Engineer to ensure the design of the wire harness, reporting to the Engineering Project Lead MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Design and package EDS, Wire Harnesses and associated components to required electrical modeling standard. Design using DFMEA principles to ensure robust design. Support virtual build events and packaging activities to ensure the harness meets cost & weight targets while ensuring design robustness Manage and resolve engineering issues on harness in a timely manner Ensure accurate translation of design into 2D print Preparing Engineering Change proposals Take Responsibility to ensure harness design meets customer design requirements e.g. design manual, Electrical & Electronic Distribution System (EEDS) guidelines, SDS. Design Validation Engineer

Our client, a global tier 1 automotive business are on the lookout for a number of Design Verification Engineers to work with the Harness Design and EDS Teams OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure that the engineered product is in line with all relevant specifications and fit for use & function. The results will be tracked against and reported in the Harness Design Verification Plan SCOPE OF THE POSITION The engineer will work within and also lead part of this team which is co-located at the customer. He/she is going to be responsible for the design and product verification of a number of specific products from the definition to the MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop the Harness Design Verification Plan to ensure design robustness in line with project timing Coordinating the Harness Design Verification Plan. Liaise with EDS Project Engineers to ensure the design meets SDS requirements. Support project engineer in ensuring the design discipline & DFMEA are adhered to Ensure all recommended actions are integrated into harness design and DVP. Report in a timely manner the status of open issues in DVP/SDS/DFMEA. Participate in design reviews to secure correct output to the plant. Participate in the customer FMEA. Participate in Customer Project and Engineering meetings according project set up. Complete validation activities in line with DV Plan
