Manufacturing Engineering Manager

A Manufacturing Engineering Manager is required for a growing manufacturer of construction products based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Due to rapid growth, support is needed to strengthen the management team in order to meet customer demand and to ensure a robust, operationally sound production, storage, assembly and dispatch process. role: Permanent Contract - will consider as a short term solution As Manufacturing Engineering Manager you will be required to: Review all areas of the production, stock management, kitting and logistics function, identifying operational improvements. Ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time and that adequate training plans are written and delivered accordingly, to ensure an up-skilled workforce. Train and coach staff to work in an efficient and productive way. Find ways to simplify processes across all areas to improve efficiency and prevent recurring mistakes. Work closely with the Production Manager to identify bottlenecks and work together to formulate a plan of action. Work to integrate communication between sales, production, packing and dispatch. Stock Controller

A Stock Controller with experience of maintaining the integrity of warehouse inventory is required for a fast paced trade distributor based in Solihull. The role of Stock Controller will include: Conduct regular stock counts ensuring that the actual inventory is reflected in the stock control system. Ensure correct stock checking processes are adhered to and that deliveries are checked off in a timely manner. Check for damaged stock, update the stock file k and report to buying team. Be aware of all unplanned adjustments and report this to management. Process claims from suppliers. Keep up to speed with bin location labelling. Rotate stock as required and look to improve the efficiency of the stores. Report any discrepancies and try to understand the route causes to minimise recurring errors. The role is needed to help streamline the purchasing function by purchasing production parts on time in readiness for the build schedule. The role of Buyer / Expeditor will include: Taking accountability for purchasing electronics, pneumatics, industrial robots and factored products from a range of established suppliers. Coordinating the purchasing function to free up the time of project managers who have historically been responsible for their own purchasing.
