Originally apprenticeship qualified in Mechanical Engineering with Serck Heat Transfer, Ray went on to gain a B.SC Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University.  He spent more than 25 years in Powertrain Engineering, Project Management and Purchasing with the Rover Group.

He joined Jonathan Lee in 2005, initially managing a recruitment campaign for TRW and was then appointed as Lead Consultant for the programme of recruitment for the set-up of TMETC.

He has also successfully supported AVL, Ricardo, Futuris, Lotus, Jaguar Land Rover and many other clients. A specialist in the recruitment of Product Engineering and Development skills, Ray has continued to support the TMETC arrangement and has placed the most technically demanding  permanent and contract roles.
