Project Contracts Manager - Offshore Wind Construction Project

A Project Contracts Manager is urgently required for a major Offshore Wind Project Team based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland. Working with the Package Managers and reporting directly into the Head of Commercial you will be managing the Turbine Supply, Offshore Substation and Onshore Work Contracts. As the Project Contracts Manager you’ll support all members of the Project Management team with the negotiation of Contractor’s Claim, Variation under the contract agreements and the on-going contracts advice on a broad range of subject matters for the main EPCI execution Contracts as well as all other supporting contracts with 3rd parties. You will align with all project personnel including the Project Director, Package Managers, Legal & Project Finance functions on the contracting basis, deliverables and cost associated with all 3rd party contractors and suppliers. There are a number of key duties and responsibilities required for this role, they include: Establish knowledge of technical and procedural requirements of the project and each Contract. Be the daily contract management focal point for specified contracts. Take an active role with the project planner in reviewing contractor programmes and assist with the verification of contract progress against contract requirements. Assess and discuss the consequences of (technical) decisions against the contract terms. Participate in monthly progress meetings with Contractors as required. To provide contract input and to assist the contract owner in administration, action tracking, minutes of meeting etc. Review contractor progress reports and provide comment and input to the contract owner for discussion with the contractor as necessary. Proactively assist with management of potential claims scenarios including taking part in the resolution of commercial and/or contract issues/disputes for a given Contract. We are seeking an individual with either onshore or offshore works contracting/administration experience in electrical substations or cabling works. You will have a proven background in contract management processes from commencement to close out, ideally on wind construction projects. You will hold a degree qualification, be aligned to a relevant professional institution and proficient in MS-Office IT Systems. It has been suggested by our client that someone from a QS or engineering background with an electrical bias would be very well received. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with one of the UK’s largest offshore wind developments. I must clarify that this is an employed position with a salary up to £75,000pa dependent on experience but will be on an initial 2-year fixed term contract. This role also comes with an annual discretionary bonus up to 20%, pension contributions up to 13%, medical & dental insurance, business related travel expenses and the opportunity to work within one of the world’s leading corporations. ILS Engineer - Defence Vehicle Systems

An Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer is urgently required for a leading defence organisation based in Coventry. Due to our client being awarded a major contract covering the MoD’s fleet of Protected Mobility Vehicles, including vehicles such as the Mastiff, Wolfhound, Ridgback, Foxhound and Husky. This ILS Engineering role will be responsible for assisting the ILS Engineering Manager and other functions to influence NPA product design to account for logistic supportability considerations; identifying safety, supportability and maintainability requirements are accounted for through-out its lifecycle. This will include input into (and conduct of) appropriate Supportability analysis tasks; typically to include: Levels of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Maintenance and Logistic Demonstrations. The ILS Engineer will be accountable for the following: Collation of logistic information from internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Influence design for supportability at design reviews, identifying and managing the support impact of any design change. Review technical publications to ensure accuracy and configuration. Support the introduction into service, and ongoing sustainment of the overall support solutions. Conduct and support logistic demonstrations. Participate in vehicle trials, providing vehicle supportability expertise. Manage all Technical Publications activities throughout the tendering, production and delivery processes to ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded. Production Setter/Engineer

A Production Setter/Engineer is urgently required for a new purpose built cutting-edge manufacturing facility based near Southam which will revolutionise the compressor technology market. This flagship project with a total investment of £65m is a joint business venture between one of the UK’s most innovative R&D Compressor Technology company’s and one of largest manufacturers in the UK to spearhead a new wave of precision manufacturing. This role will be reporting to the engineering manager and you will be a critical team leader in developing new methods of manufacture for machining of internal components to drawings specifications. You will be required to working closely with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to influence the design for manufacture on existing products and NPI. Your duties and responsibilities for this critical role will include the following: Programme Mazak machines for various components on various machine platforms, during the start of setting up this new business. Be the hands on part of the NPI / design team introduction. Work closely with quality during 1st off to production. Lead process improvements and NPI projects to the shop floor. Develop the machining cells to ensure they are world class. Support the production team on a day to day basis to ensure timely delivery of customer expectations. Support the machining cells on real time problem resolution and technical issues. Be proactive in the recommendation of new or improved manufacturing techniques. Supply cost down analysis and project plans to reduce prime costs. Identify waist and define methods of reduction within the process to allow continual improvement. To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record within a production or manufacturing environment. Our client is seeking applications from candidates that have a recognised technical apprenticeship, HNC level equivalent qualification in manufacturing engineering or time served industry experience. We will also be seeking this individual with have some of the following knowledge and experiences: A proven track record within Production / Manufacturing Engineering or similar. CNC machine tool programming (3, 4 & 5 axis machines). Setting up of new processes – 1st off production, tooling, programming etc. Able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models. Strong knowledge of machining techniques. A good knowledge of castings. A good knowledge of cutting tools. Knowledge of Mazak controls is desirable – training will be available (@ Mazak & offsite). Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP & Environmental Issues.
