Build & Test Technician

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working exclusively with our client Lontra in their search for a Build & Test Technician to join this established innovative engineering company based near to the town of Southam in Warwickshire. We are seeking an individual that will fit into an established team of development engineers and play a leading role in the development of a potentially world class new design of compressor. The core responsibility of this role will include: Building test rigs to a high standard, including construction, supporting with commissioning and maintenance where required. Carrying out compressor build in a timely manner. Maintaining any build and test documentation to ensure accurate reporting requirements and standards are met. The successful candidate will ideally be apprenticeship trained or time served with previous experience in a build and test environment. You'll be able to demonstrate competence in the skills required for a rig build role, knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication experience and knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems would be very advantageous. We are seeking an individual that is not fazed by a clean sheet approach to design and can offer innovative and logical thinking in their work. You will have an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles but you'll be given the freedom to research idea's and implement the best whilst focusing on product optimisation and delivering high quality, highly efficient compressor designs. The core responsibility of this role will include: Identifying design solutions and prioritising work Creating CAD schemes, detail models, FEA and drawings Support and develop junior members of the design team Liaising with suppliers and clients Controlling design documentation Supporting and contributing to the technical excellence of the design team The successful candidate will have a proven track record in innovative design involving both creative design solutions and practical hands-on design work. Senior Asset Integrity Engineer

Senior Asset Integrity Engineer is required for a leading consultancy based in Warrington, Cheshire. Our client supports organisations to manage risks that could affect life, the environment, or asset performance by providing safety and risk management analyses and engineering solutions. This innovative and growing organisation currently supports a diverse customer base across Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Conventional Power, Clean Energy, Water Utilities and Infrastructure sectors. Due to continued company growth our client is expanding their Asset Integrity team to provide services and technical due diligence to clients. This senior level engineer will possess several years' experience in either the Oil & Gas, Nuclear or Power Industry delivering structural or safety engineering or asset management projects, preferably with a consultancy or EPC background. This Senior Asset Integrity Engineer role would have the following responsibilities: The ability to interface with clients and internal project delivery teams Review ITT (invitation to tender) documents and prepare project cost and time estimates Lead and deliver project studies in accordance with contract requirements, meeting time, cost and quality imperatives Prepare and present project reports including identification of recommended courses of action. Candidates will ideally hold a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and applicants of Chartered status would be viewed advantageously. Relevant skills and expertise will also include: Engineering design and assessment (fitness for service, root cause assessment) Computational analysis (finite element analysis, impact assessment) Engineering substantiation Fracture mechanics assessment Technical and operational due diligence Risk-based methodologies (RBI, RCM, SIL, RAM) Structural codes R5, R6, RCC-M or API 579 This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to join a growing organisation that can offer on-going career progression.
