Manufacturing industry Salary £Neg A Process Engineering Specialist is required to to provide process support to manufacturing and a background in the specification, commissioning and developing of plant, processes and products to ensure safe and economic operation would be well received. Due to increased workloads, this company, the industry leader in composite materials and industrial fabrics, require a Process Engineering Specialist. As the Process Engineering Specialist, you will be required to: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, along with reviewing the safety requirements. Introduce new products to the factory focusing on optimisation of the process. Prepare standard data manuals for the preparation and maintenance of manufacturing standards. Prepare detailed equipment, acceptance and commissioning specifications for new and modified capital equipment and to validate performance prior to hand-over to Production. Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g. Six Sigma). Proven experience of data analysis and data driven problem solving. Working within the Research & Technology department, the purpose of the role is to assist the Pilot Plant Manager and the Research & Technology team to conduct experimental work and development trials for the technical and commercial development of new processes and technology. Duties of the Pilot Plant Process Development Technician role: Participate in the planning and implementation of pilot plant activities in order to provide experimental data and test results. Support process development trials as necessary to transfer new or improved processes from the bench scale to pilot plant scale. Prepare and set up pilot plant equipment to facilitate planned trials which may include routine maintenance duties and mechanical repairs. Ensure safe preparation and operation of equipment in consideration of new product and process development.
