Quality Engineer Permanent position - Cambridge Manufacturing Salary £30,000 to £35,000 Depending on exeprince The Quality Engineer is required to provide quality leadership and expertise across all areas of the business through planning, investigation, project management and pro-active quality improvement activity. This will include the development, maintenance and improvement of quality standards, systems and processes for the company products. Additionally, with the application of quality improvement tools, ensure quality compliance in materials, processes and products. Due to an increase in projects, they require a Quality Engineer on a permanent staff basis. As the Quality Engineer you will be required to: Undertake investigations, quality projects and data/statistical analysis for the department to support customer and business initiatives and quality improvement. Contribute and when required, lead continuous improvement and site-specific quality projects. Support quality system and process reviews to ensure site QMS is robust and opportunities for improvement are addressed. Undertake all quality activity in compliance with all relevant customer/material specifications, quality standards and health, safety & environmental HSE requirements. Contribute to customer statutory audits by representing the quality assurance department. Champion ancillary tasks (5S/FOD, Lean and continuous improvement) in support of the day-to-day running of the Quality department. Electrical and Controls Maintenance Engineer

Electrical and Controls Maintenance Engineer Manufacturing Permanent Role Cambridge/Duxford Salary £Negotiable Our customer is a global supplier of advanced materials and support the aerospace, automotive and alternative energy sectors. The purpose of the role is to work with specialist equipment such as PLC’s which control machinery on factory plant along with maintaining electrical instrumentation and control systems. The main duties of the Electrical and Controls Maintenance Engineer: · Be a key part of the engineering team supporting the site operation including ensuring the control systems performance does not affect safety, quality or delivery. · Controlling version control of PLC code and instrument parameters. · Supporting multiple engineering projects including working with suppliers to maintain control systems performance. · Work with production departments on continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap and other production losses. · Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines. Skills and experience required for the Electrical and Controls Maintenance role: · Maintenance engineering background with instrument and PLC controls experience. · Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or process environment. · Ideally knowledge of process control instrumentation including temperature, pressure and flow control. · An understanding of PC and SCADA control systems. · An understanding of electrical safety and SIL including safety PLC’s. · Experience of industry standard risk assessment techniques such as HAZOP and FMEA. We are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to manage in-house and sub-contracted teams to ensure delivery of the business metrics for the maintenance department.
