Technical Service Manager Permanent position - Slough Packaging Solutions Manufacturing Salary negotiable We are recruiting for a Technical Service Manager - this is a demanding role based in the UK, Slough site with dual responsibility for resolving any technical issues and promoting the product range on customer sites in Asia, Australasia and Latin America The client is a global innovative packaging solutions manufacturer and due to an increase in overseas projects, they require a Technical Service Manager on a permanent staff basis. As the Technical Service Manager, you will be required to: Provide technical support to our customers including the company's network of international distributors/brokers. Assist customers in setting machine parameters and tolerances on filling/wadding and induction equipment. Analyse failed product performance and determine the root cause, both in laboratory and at filling lines. Attend line trials and assist customers in achieving successful technical performance. Instrument Technician Long term contract position - Cambridge Manufacturing and production machinery Hourly rate negotiable We are immediately recruiting for an Instrument and Commissioning Technician to support the Maintenance team who are responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning of all instrument equipment processes on site. The client is a global supplier of advanced materials and support the aerospace, automotive and alternative energy sectors. Due to an increase in projects, they require an Instrument and Commissioning Technician to join them on a long-term contract basis. As the Instrument Technician you will be required to: · Provide technical direction across the process, monitoring and reporting to the site Maintenance Manager. · Routine calibration on process instrumentation. · Safely Integrity Level (SIL) testing, instrumentation troubleshooting and diagnosis of faults. · Calibration checks of field instrumentation. · Loop-checks and troubleshooting. · Receipt verification and bench checks of instruments. · Interlocks, alarms and controls performance verification. · Installation inspection against design documentation. · Use of calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test and perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults. · Communicate design discrepancies and issues to the site Maintenance Manager. · Compilation and completion of test pack documentation. · Updating spreadsheets for progress of systems. · Completion of monthly calibration reports. · Updating calibration software, uploading certificates and completing inspection labels. Process Safety Engineer Permanent position - Hertfordshire, Enfield, Brimsdown. Process Engineering Salary negotiable + excellent benefits. We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer to support the development and implementation of the Process Safety Management strategy. As part of a core technical team the Process Safety Engineer will ensure focus and delivery of all activities regarding process safety whilst driving process safety risk reduction on site. Due to an expansion of the Process Safety department and an increase in high-profile projects, a Process Safety Engineer is required as soon as possible. As the Process Safety Engineer, you will be required to: Drive the company's UK strategy to ensure compliance with Control Of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations and with local process safety legislations, internal process safety policies, procedures and programs. Lead the development of process safety related standards, information and procedures, assure coordination with the EHS, engineering, technical and operations areas. Provide expertise on process safety risk assessment and risk management processes, methods, and standards; leading process safety risk assessment across the site, coaching others in risk management methodology and ensuring process safety compliance to JM policies. Maintain a technical authority register for Process Safety for each site. Maintain competency against Process Safety in line with the business. Coordinate or carry out the delivery of process safety training for operators and other managers. Ensure the sites process hazards analysis (PHA's) are completed on time and the PHA actions are managed and reviewed accordingly. Implementation of a compliance and corrective action plan for DSEAR / ATEX compliance and produce KPIs for the EHS steering committee. Support and facilitate Management of Change (MoC) assessments and ensure appropriate process hazard analysis methodologies are used based on scope of work. Provide process safety input into capital projects and ensure compliance with company policies and other relevant national/international/regulatory standards. Provide early warning and planning guidance to businesses and site leadership regarding compliance and implications. Participate in process safety incident investigations and provide support for plant operations if necessary. The Process Safety Engineer should have the following skills or experience: A technical Engineering Degree - Mechanical or Chemical is essential. Our customer has 150 years of experience of product innovation and manufacturing and is an international expert in automotive fastening and assembly solutions. As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will be required to: - Manage and develop relationships with decision makers within the targeted automotive customer base (OEM’s; FSP’s; Tiers; Distributors). - To provide fastener and assembly solution support at the relevant OEM manufacturing locations.
