Senior Design Engineer - Chassis

We are looking for driven Mechanical Design Engineers who are willing to join our Client's Design Department and hel them shape, design and develop their well-loved and iconic motorcycles. Successful applicants will play a huge part in the design of the motorcycle components. Duties and Responsibilities: To produce schemes of motorcycle assemblies on 3D CAD using Pro-Engineer To produce fully detailed drawings on 3D CAD To produce completed designs with the following parameters decided and fully specified: Material, Heat Treatment, Surface Finish, Geometric Tolerances When producing the above designs the following aspects should be considered: Manufacturing method, Duty, Strength/fatigue calculations, Corrosion, resistance, Finishing (e.g. paint ability), Homologation, Ease of assembly, Cost, Use of existing fasteners, Clearance to other components, Warranty data on similar components, Department procedures, Mass To release components through the design change system To liaise with other Triumph Departments and external suppliers To produce and update engineers lists To produce specifications/planning drawings for suppliers To have the capability to use computer programs and advanced analysis (e.g. FEA) if required To follow Department and Quality Procedures To assist in creating & updating department procedures To provide engineering guidance to any CAD Designer who may be allocated to help To complete all the above responsibilities to agreed timescales and with minimal supervision To undertake and assist with projects as required by your Manager Any other ad-hoc duties as required by your Manager The ideal Candidate will be/have: Mechanical or Automotive based engineering degree (BEng or MEng) Previous experience of working within an automotive /manufacturing environment Ability to drive CAD systems (Creo preferred) More Senior applicants should have experience in progressing designs through to development and manufacture and track record of liaising with suppliers and manufacturing departments Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or contact Chiara Caterisano for more information.

Key Functions of the Test Engineer: Equipment preparation and installation in test vehicles and proving ground based test equipment. Instrumentation Technician

Our Client, a leading Automotive Consultancy based in Northamptonshire, is looking for an Instrumentation Technician to provide electrical/electronic & systems support to the Build and Test Department. This could involve building, commissioning, maintaining, fault finding, repairing and calibrating instrumentation and control systems within the engine test cell/chambers as well as vehicle test areas. As an Instrumentation Technician your duties will be: Primarily dealing with Breakdowns & set-up work to powertrain test cells & chambers.
