Diving for Charity
Suminh Tham of the Stourbridge Contracts team, and 5 friends, took part in a 12,000 ft tandem sky dive in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, at the Duke of Gloucester Army Barracks in Cirencester on Sun 16th Sep.
It was a bright but very breezy day, with a good atmosphere. “I can honestly say the scariest bit was the half-hour briefing prior to the jump, as they intricately talk you through the dive, which is extremely unnerving! After that, I just relaxed and looked forward to the dive!”
“Although I’d just been thrown out of a plane, it didn't feel like I was falling as such, because the wind just carries you. It was very exhilarating and just really good fun! Strapped to the front of a massive 6'4" instructor, I felt pretty safe too!” Suminh has managed to raise £400 for the charity so far. Would she do it again? Definitely!
