UAV Engines Signs Sole Supplier Agreement with Jonathan Lee Recruitment

Jonathan Lee RecruitmentUAV Engines Ltd in Shenstone nr Lichfield has signed a two-year sole supplier agreement with (Stourbridge based) recruitment specialists, Jonathan Lee Recruitment for both permanent and contract recruitment services.

UAV Engines designs, develops and produces engines for the propulsion of small and medium sized, unmanned air vehicles (UAVs). The technology is based on the rotary engine research and development work carried out by Norton Motors between 1969 and 1992 when UEL purchased exclusive world-wide rights to use this patented technology for application to the UAV market. The firm is currently involved in a ten-year programme on the Watchkeeper UAV for Thales.

General Manager Dave Cliff said: “We work in a very specialised area of the aerospace industry which requires a certain skill set; but finding the right people is not just about the skills that an individual brings to the organisation. We are quite a unique company, so the personality of any new addition is important to ensure a good ‘fit’ with the existing team.”

Dave Cliff continued: “We have a low turnover of staff and we want to keep it that way. Jonathan Lee Recruitment has helped us to identify suitable individuals to join our team on a number of occasions recently, so choosing to work exclusively with them over the next two years makes good sense. They understand the aerospace sector and know where to find the kind of high calibre, stable individuals we are looking to recruit here at UAV Engines.”

For Jonathan Lee Recruitment, Senior Aerospace Consultant Jon Rance added: “UAV Engines has grown dramatically in the last few years and the company has ambitious plans to continue this growth in the future. We can support these growth targets by helping to identify and attract good people who can contribute to the ongoing success of this thriving organisation, which is strategically positioned in the buoyant UAV sector.”
