Quality Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing
Can you offer a proven background within a TS16949 Automotive Manufacturing environment, strong problem solving skills and a strong knowledge of Automotive Quality Tools?
Working with global OEM and Tier 1 Automotive organisations, this rapidly expanding organisation has experienced significant investment and is well on course to establishing themselves as an integrated centre of excellence and now seeks the addition of an ambitious Quality Engineer to boost the team and aid for future planned growth.
Core duties for this Quality Engineer role will include:
- To organise and lead cross functional problem solving teams through root cause identification, verification and corrective action steps including preventive actions.
- Be the champion for quality related issues via the 8D process with their assigned scope of responsibility.
- Ensure preparation and submission of PPAP to Customers
- To review daily, weekly and monthly data to identify waste drivers and improve overall quality targets.
- Maintain records and reports in a concise manner, update documentation.
- Utilise resources from appropriate departments to ensure effective, timely cross functional problem solving.
- Establish inspection, sampling and testing programs for raw materials, goods in process, and finished products. Establish reaction plan activities.
- To develop methods to check quality of new products and improve quality of existing products.
- To investigate and research substandard test results and product defects.
- Make recommended changes in materials or processes to correct detected problems.
- Participate actively in the requirement to retain ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 certification.
- Be responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy and for working in a safe manner and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts.
- To comply with 5S standards and procedures.
