Are you a qualified Project Manager with strong customer facing skills? If so, we are recruiting a Project Manager to meet customer and company objectives, ensuring enquiries and quotations are carried out in line with the Company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process, managing projects through the Company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process incorporated in the ISO system and delegating to, and steering, the operations team towards satisfactory delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project leadership to meet customer and company objectives
  • Ensure enquiries and quotations carried out in line with the Company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Manage projects through the Company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process incorporated in the ISO system
  • Communicate project/ product progress and issues to customers & internal resource.
  • Delegate to, and steer, the operations team towards satisfactory delivery projects
  • Cost projects, engineering, tooling and manufacturing
  • Create and maintain a 'knowledgebase' for future projects
  • Develop new business to enrich foundry capacity
  • This role includes the possibility of overseas travel

Requisite Competencies and Experience:

  • In depth understanding of the engineering, tooling, casting and machining processes
  • Automotive, motorsport, aerospace and or/ defence industry experience
  • Experience of organising multiple tasks / projects
  • Good communication skills and business acumen
  • Experience of using ISO Quality Standards
  • Experience of using an internal New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Experience of completing quotations and understanding commercial terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrable and proven experience of business / account development
  • A recognised formal engineering qualification in a relevant field would be desirable for this role.

Successful candidates will have an in depth understanding of the engineering, tooling, casting and machining processes and will have automotive, motorsport, aerospace and or/ defence industry experience. Experience of organising multiple tasks/ projects is required for this role, as is experience of completing quotations and understanding commercial terms and conditions. A recognised formal engineering qualification in a relevant field would be desirable for this role.
