Project Engineer - 33836 - up to £24.91/hr Ltd Co - Body

A Project Engineer is required to join a leading automotive OEM based in Gaydon, Warwickshire. This is a long term contract paying up to £24.91 per hour.

You will work coordinate and plan the workload required from the Module Leaders and Lead Engineers to support the Senior Programme Leader. Youw will be co-located with the Programme Teams to plan successful performance against Programme Gateway deliverables/ departmental objectives and to drive resolution via the CoC Module Leaders and Lead Engineers. Need to be able to travel to the launch as and when required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the WERS release process and progression via the Module Leaders and Lead Engineers, plan and coordinate the Body Engineering Change Management release process up to and change management process during the launch phase.
  • Drive the Grade, RMDV, DPA, FMA, FEU, & AIMS resolution and progression via the Module Leaders and Lead Engineers, track progress and identify, communicate and escalate actions via cross functional and external partners to expedite issue resolution.
  • Provide analysis of the Programme Health status and identify, plan and resolve RED status issues with minimal guidance.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product'
  • Have good technical knowledge of Excel and other business systems to be able to manipulate data. Knowledge of specific systems like AIMS/ WERS/ RMDV also required
  • Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.

Experience Required:

A good working knowledge of PCDS, Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes are essential.

Experience Preferred:

Knowledge of systems and processes a distinct advantage, such as AIMS, WERS, RMDV etc.

Experience in Vehicle BOM validation and new model launch support are desirable.
