Production Process Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing

Cameras and equipment produced at the site can be found in sports stadiums, in studios and outside broadcast units around the world.

The collaboration with companies around the world to develop world-class products has delivered major projects from the site including the creation of LED technology, medical devices and the recent success of the Raspberry Pi a credit-size micro-computer that has become hugely popular.

Due to ongoing increases in customer demands the site is now recruiting for a skilled Engineer to support with the development of operational standards, manufacturing processes, machinery and product assembly processes.

The role will see you developing production aids combining written instructions with picture and diagram aids. You will be assessing Operator skills to ensure capability to deliver customer demands and looking closely at production and testing processes for each new product introduction and existing products giving consideration to Takt times, time and motion and quality standards throughout the process. Your aim is to support and contribute towards high quality, right first time manufacturing of complex SMT and PCB products plus assembly based operations. A lot of your work will elude to establishing and developing a "Poka Yoke" right first time production quality system incorporating SOPS, work instruction, visual aids, training and more.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate thorough working knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and machinery to include Routers, Solderbath, Hydraulic Presses and hand production tools across torque drives, soldering irons, dispensers and an array of general hand and machine tools.

It is anticipated you will qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a related Engineering discipline such as Electronics Manufacturing, Electrical or similar.
