The Role

The purpose of the role is to manage a team of Process Engineers to provide complex technical support to aid the development and manufacture of products.

  • Manage the execution and completion of multiple engineering projects that are aligned to the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure the successful development and manufacture or products that meet customers' expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation of best practice to enhance existing products and processes.
  • Develop internal group ways of working to generate engineering capability information.
  • Influence and embed a robust product industrialisation process.

The Person
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Engineer or Process Engineering Manager to bring their experience to bear in a fast-moving yet rewarding environment. To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Previous work experience within a similar role is essential with extensive Process Engineering background.
  • Prior experience of coaching and developing a team of engineers and aligning group outputs to strategic business initiatives.
  • Strong influencing skills are imperative to inspire and motivate team when managing change, influence behaviour and driving strategic direction on site.
  • A working knowledge of quality engineering processes (QEP) and a background of continuous improvement in manufacturing.
  • A degree qualification in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering

The Company
Our client is a >£10bn T/O global manufacturing group, which supplies products to numerous industries, primarily to the automotive sector. They now seek a Process Engineering Manager on a permanent staff basis.
The location is commutable by vehicle via either the A1(M) or M11 motorways from north or south, or direct overland trains, including from central London.
