Job Title: Powertrain Production Leader
Salary: £31,400 - £40,800 + benefits (depending on experience)


With your knowledge of core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, SPC and MSA) within a Manufacturing environment coupled with your people leadership skills, you'll join our Plant Quality team at the brand new state-of-the-art Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC), which is the home of the next generation of advanced Engines to power the future vehicles.

Powertrain Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the new engine to support the next generation of vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the production operations team will establish, introduce and develop the new facility to ensure a first class service to our customer base. Ultimately responsible for producing engines to a world class standard.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that EMC products are manufactured in accordance with Global market regulations and legislation. Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained through product conformance to agreed quality standards and government regulations related company policies, procedures and relevant plant Quality Operating System. The responsibility of the Government Regulations & Conformity of Production Senior Process Leader will be primarily managing the Government Regulations (GRC), Mandatory Compliance Inspection (MCI), Conformity of Production (CoP) and certification activities of EMC UK

You'll also lead a group of skilled and semi-skilled associates, including team leaders, Engineers, Maintenance and Production operators to ensure they achieve quality standards and meet production objectives. You'll also be acting as a role model for the Powertrain values, and leading the SQDCPE agenda for the area.

You'll communicate current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure and are dealt with effectively to assist, improve and sustain product quality. You'll also drive continuous improvement by establishing a specific course of action, and appropriately manage time, tasks, budgets and resources to ensure a first class service to our customer base.


You'll have experience within a Manufacturing environment and be an effective leader with the ability of coordinating large groups of people through complex processes in a cross functional faced paced and demanding environment. You'll have strong knowledge of core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, SPC and MSA), practical experience of IATF 16949 as an internal or lead auditor and an understanding of legal and regulatory responsibilities and its impact.

You'll be proficient with use of PC Systems & Packages and be able to interpret and collate statistical data and create reports. You'll be a strong communicator, both written & verbally and have the confidence to present your information in front of groups of people, including Senior Management.

Ideally, you'll be familiar with company systems including SAP, AIMS, PAWS, etracker, GSPAS and be degree qualified or equivalent, or working towards a degree in a relevant field.
