A Human Factors Engineer (HMI) is required to work for a leading automotive OEM. The position will be a long term contract role based in Warwick and is paying a rate of up to £25.40 Ltd Co per hour.

As a Human Factors Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of HMI solutions for in-vehicle use. The projects will be run through the research process which requires co-ordination with stakeholders within mainstream engineering, marketing and vehicle line representatives. There will be a heavy emphasis on requirements development and capture, FMEA / Functional safety and validation including test reporting. To take responsibility for completion of associated process deliverables and to provide support to the mainstream departments and attribute teams in the handover of projects post delivery


To apply for this position you should have some of the following:

  • Knowledge of vehicle hardware systems, systems engineering, requirements capture, validation testing, FMEA and functional safety.
  • Good project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are required as well as the ability to produce clear technical documentation is also required.
  • Familiarity with premium automotive sector, products and features and technology used in the HMI area
  • Educated to a degree level

  • Hourly rate of up to £25.40 Ltd
  • Long term contract initially until March 2018 with potential to be renewed yearly
