A Electronics Technician is required within a leading Telecommunications and Satellite and Space Systems Technology Company on a Permanent basis. The Electronics Technician will be involved in supporting the implementation and test of radio systems and sub-systems. The Electronics Technician will have experience of electronics assembly and test. The Electronics Technician will work in the R&D lab assembling and testing of sub-assemblies under the direction of the Department Manager.

Responsibilities and Requirements for the Electronics Technician

  • HNC/HND or equivalent standard of Education.
  • Ensure that all test equipment is maintained and calibrated.
  • Assemble and test electronic circuit boards and test sub-systems.
  • Support the work of development engineers using the lab.
  • Assemble, test and calibrate wiring harnesses.
  • Test high speed digital an R&D lab work in a communications systems environment.
  • Assembly of RF and digital circuit boards and subsystems.
  • R&D lab work in a communications systems environment.
  • Assembly of RF and digital circuit boards and subsystems.
  • Assembly of wiring harnesses and subsequent test and calibration.
  • Use of modern lab test equipment such as Signals Analysers and Waveform Generators.
  • Calibration and setup of equipment and use of hand tools and small power tools.
  • Development of test reports and similar documents.
  • Use and development of automated test systems.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, even under pressure.
  • Adaptable to new requirements and changing priorities.
  • Able to function effectively within a team and with other personnel.


Candidates must have the ability to gain Full UK Security Clearance (SC) and must have been resident in the UK for a Minimum of 4 - 5 years.
