Electrical Launch Engineer - 34051 - £20.00 to £22.00 p/h

Seeking an experienced Electrical Launch Engineer with a solid understanding of delivering robust electrical systems for new model launches.

Working for an automotive client who produces luxury prestige vehicles for the global market, your overall responsibility as Electrical Launch Engineer will be to establish a vital link between Product Development and the Manufacturing environment whilst also interfacing with many other departments & disciplines.

Key responsibilities as Launch Engineer for the Electrical division:

  • Support and attend various plant reviews and relevant meetings.
  • Champion Electrical input for Launch Management Meeting and where required lead meeting for the Electrical team.
  • Lead Software & Calibration Process Chains and drive problem resolution and appropriate containments via AIMS and associated reviews.
  • Coordinate and support electrical component and vehicle re-work activities.
  • Coordinate and support parts validation and software integration activities.
  • Support root cause analysis and investigation of vehicle electrical system issues arising during launch.
  • Support investigation of VCATS end-of-line test issues arising during launch.
  • Coordinate and support build activities and line trials with Production.

The successful Electrical Launch Engineer will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working as part of a vehicle production facility as Electrical Engineer in launch or current engineering.
  • Experience of vehicle production facility.
  • Knowledge of software control plans & IVS Structure.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environment and to challenging deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to present and report out to all Management levels
  • Creative in problem solving, good communication, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Willing and able to support flexible working hours during launch phases to meet operational requirements

This is a 6 month contract position offering an hourly rate of up to £22.00 based at Castle Bromwich.
