A CAE Analyst with experience in powertrain performance is required to work for a leading automotive OEM. The position will be a long term contract role based in Gaydon, Warwickshire and is paying a rate of up to £26.40 Ltd Co per hour.

As a CAE Analyst you will be responsible for leading a small team of CAE analysts in modelling of PED attributes throughout programmes for all vehicle and powertrain derivatives, across all markets. Covering both Product Efficiency and Performance Feel & Driveability, analysis includes cycle F.E./CO2, performance and grade ability metrics. This supports target setting, gateway status reporting, technology / component selection and elements of powertrain calibration

To apply for this position you should have some of the following:
- The ability to effectively plan and manage delivery through a small team
- Understanding of strengths and limitations of computer-based simulation
- Experience in vehicle F.E. and/or performance modelling.
- Understanding of vehicle F.E. certification processes and performance metrics.
- Understanding of strengths and limitations of computer-based simulation.
- Able to interpret simulation output and derive appropriate conclusions & recommendations.
- Working knowledge of powertrain architectures , operating characteristics and their impact
- Degree qualified.
