Job Title: Build Sequence Planner
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham

Do you have experience of build sequence planning within a high volume automotive environment? If so, we are recruiting a Build Sequence Planner for a prestigious automotive company based in Birmingham to help plan, manage and coordinate production to meet the dispatch requirements of their customers.

Functional Scope

  • Plan & co-ordinate production to meet the dispatch requirements of the customers.
  • Support role for Customer Order Co-ordinator.
  • Monitor Assembly, test & rectification performance through communication with production & test managers ensure status and performance is continuously maintained.
  • Manage component Build Sequences to ensure Continuity of Assembly
  • Build performance data ensuring transparency of data for all levels of the organisation.
  • Production Orders via MRP, drives the schedules for all Parts supplied to build engines
  • Customer Protection Continuously monitor and control rectification progress thereby ensuring complete customer satisfaction
  • Dispatch plans Satisfy Customer Demands

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess an Engineering / Logistics related qualification to HNC level.
  • Good working knowledge of IPS-L, WCS & SAP SD / PP with capable skills in office IT systems.
  • Key responsibilities for Non-Conforming Processes.
  • Highly effective communicator; relying heavily on own initiative.
  • In production control / pipeline roles as requirement.
  • Good understanding of other logistics, manufacturing operations & quality departments as required.
  • Extensive use of IT & Logistics systems is also required.
