Position Description:

The role of ADAS System Engineer is based within the ADAS Systems & Subsystems Engineering group in Electrical Engineering, The System Engineer will be responsible to complete all the system engineering deliverables required to design and deliver driver assistance features based on video, radar and ultrasonic technologies such as Remote Control Drive, Remote Parking, Park Aid, etc. He will also need to interact with a lot of stakeholders (suppliers, feature owners, subsystem engineers, body, hardware) be diplomatic and proactive so as to progress as a priority his system in the organisation to deliver on time with the right quality and the expected cost

Experience Required

  • Thorough understanding of system engineering principles and the software development lifecycle.
  • Able to translate high level customer requirements into System Requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, a logical and physical architecture using design and change management tools (e.g. IBM Rational DOORS, RTC or similar, Rhapsody
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and protocols including CAN bus, Flexray, automotive diagnostics
  • Understanding of Quality methods, able to develop a DFMEA and maintain it
  • Experience with real time control systems design
  • Experience of component, system and vehicle level issue investigations
  • Functional Safety knowledge and how to capture this in system requirements
  • Long term system strategy and architecture planning
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
  • Full UK driving license

Education Required:

Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
