ADAS Engineer - Automotive

An ADAS Engineer is required with understanding of legal requirements for ADAS sensors and good working knowledge and practical experience of ECU hardware and software used in a safety related automotive environment based in Bedfordshire

Our client, a global automotive OEM based in Cranfield requires an ADAS Engineer to support benchmark of European competitors and environmental conditions, status reporting to management reporting at all levels, develop departmental skill and knowledge regarding ADAS system, develop strategy to increase role to manage "Sensing" "Cognition" and "Judgement" functions and perform studies and report result of European technologies to colleagues based in other regions.

The ADAS Engineer should have the following skills:

  • Understanding of legal requirements for ADAS sensors.
  • Understanding of industry best practices e.g. GADSL & ISO26262
  • Experience of managing suppliers in a project environment.
  • Post graduate experience in an engineering environment.
  • Aptitude to understand new technologies and systems by clear application of engineering principles and knowledge
  • Knowledge of CAN communication is desirable.
  • Experience of CAN system analysis (CANalyzer/CANoe/CANape etc) desirable
  • Competent with PC applications MS Office etc
  • Good problem solving skills with knowledge of Design Review, FTA and FMEA activities.
  • Good working knowledge and practical experience of ECU hardware and software used in a safety related automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of application and use of diagnostic tools and diagnostic communication is desirable
