Knowledge and experience of rotating machinery, preferrably transmission detailed design, including gears; shafts; bearings; lubrication system and iron and steel casting design
Knowledge of rotating machinery, geometric tolerancing, lay-out of 2D drawings and solidmodelling
Knowledge of engine or gearbox design a distinct advantage, including bearing installation experience and tolerance stack-up analysis experience
Knowledge and experience of CAD packages such as Catia V5 (primarily), SolidWorks (secondary) and ProE
Ability to provide support to analysis projects
Knowledge and experience of transmission component design and analysis
Good understanding of materials and heat treatment processes
Manufacturing background
Good presentation skills
Coaching/mentoring skills
