This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly flexible and dedicated team focused on the delivery of exceptional engine performance from our 1100 series products. The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued success of the company, dealing with current product concerns and New Product Introduction (NPI).Job Requirements
Key roles include collaboration with the CPPD, V&V, CAE, Applications and MIT teams, overseeing and coordinating engine development work, reviewing test data to ensure quality and post-test data analysis. A significant element is the development of electronic engine calibration maps that will be utilised in the engine control software. The candidate could also be involved in supporting engine system simulation or regeneration strategy development to enable the engine to meet customer s performance expectations and all emission regulations. Candidate will serve as an experienced, individual contributor for engine emissions and performance development projects. Specific assignments are complex in nature and support the performance and emissions development of Perkins engine products for Tier4 products.Further Details
Key Competencies: 1. Technical knowledge of engines. 2. Communication Skills. 3. Work Standards. 4. Interpersonal Skills. 5. Quality Focus. 6. Decision Making. Qualifications: Accredited Engineering degree or equivalent. Ideally the candidate will have 4 to 7 years of experience in engine performance and emissions development for Diesel engines, but candidates with other relevant experience and skills will also be considered. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability and desire to work in a pressurised team environment. A proven self-starter who is motivated to deliver high quality service, on-time, to customers at the lowest cost. Knowledge of engine or machine simulation/test techniques is highly valued. Specific experience of electronic control systems would also be beneficial.
