We have been placing candidates with our clients in Permanent roles since 1978. Whilst the range of services we offer is far more comprehensive these days our aim remains exactly the same; to bring the very best candidates into contact with the very best clients. Our services may be broadly categorised as follows:
Executive Search
This service is sometimes referred to as "headhunting" and is usually, although not exclusively, used for senior level recruitment. It typically involves our consultants actively researching companies that employ the skills our clients seek and identifying people within those organisations who have both the hard and soft skills they require. These are often people who are not actively seeking a change of employment and it is vital therefore that we consult extensively with our clients to ensure we are in a position to present their opportunity to a perspective candidate in the most favourable light. There is often only one opportunity to do this and the skill of our consultants in both understanding our clients business and the position they are seeking to fill is absolutely crucial to achieving a successful outcome.
Advertised Assignment
Sometimes our clients wish us to advertise their vacancy, either under their own name, our name or sometimes jointly branded. Advertising can be targeted to reach a defined audience as say in the case of an industry specific magazine or more generally as happens in the case of adverts that appear in the broadsheet newspapers. The perceived wisdom is that advertising in this way reaches both passive and proactive job seekers and should deliver up a larger and more diverse candidate pool than a pure headhunt. Advertised assignment is also popular with clients seeking to fill multiple positions. Some clients also like the fact that advertising can bring with it a PR association that the company is expanding.
Register Search
Over 30 years we have built up an enviable network of contacts which we can tap into when clients approach us with their requirements. This can often be a cost effective route for clients not wishing to go down either the headhunt or advertising route and can result in a short list of candidates being made available relatively quickly. This route does have the advantage of providing a means to reach both active and passive job seekers but of course does not cast the net as wide as an advertised assignment or is as rigorously targeted as a headhunt.
Managed Service - Integrate Recruitment
Some clients seek to outsource part or all of their recruitment activities to a third party, turning the relationship into a partnership between the in-house HR department and the recruitment agency. Often this goes beyond merely recruitment and extends into areas such as induction, development, manpower planning and appraisal. Our approach to providing a Managed Service offering is that no two clients have the same requirements. We therefore seek firstly to understand what our client is seeking to achieve and then map out in partnership with them how best to achieve it. This process of discussion and refinement continues until the best solution is agreed upon. Only then do we begin the process of implementation.

In addition we often discuss with clients bespoke services that do not fit neatly into one of the above categories. This is because we do not believe recruitment should be distilled into an "off the shelf" product offering. We prefer to offer a framework within which the individual requirements of our clients can be discussed and accommodated.
