Specialist Truck & Bus Recruiter exhibits at Coach and Bus Live

Specialist engineering and manufacturing consultancy Jonathan Lee Recruitment is launching its new Truck & Bus Division at Coach & Bus Live, the major domestic showcase for the bus, coach and passenger transport technology sector. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to find out more about the business at stand No. H40, where specialist consultants will be on hand to provide advice on attracting and retaining talent to keep up with increasing opportunities in this sector.

Henry Noteman, Associate Director - Truck & Bus, explains: “Having worked in truck and bus manufacturing for over 20 years, we recognise the unique challenges faced by this industry and in establishing this new team, we are reaffirming our commitment to the sector. Whilst typically truck and bus has been interwoven with automotive, the time is now right to give the sector its own identity to support the sourcing of specialist permanent or contract skills.”

“We have both established relationships and fostered new links within the commercial vehicle arena, including OEM vehicle manufacturers, 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, SMEs, R&D centres, design consultancies, supply chain and aftermarket businesses, in addition to the vast array of bus operating companies. The desire to provide these niche clients with a bespoke and appropriate service lies at the heart of the new Division. It’s a very exciting and much needed change!”

With a surge in demand - the SMMT recently reported a 19% year-to-date increase in registrations* - Coach & Bus Live comes to the NEC Birmingham between the 30th September and 1st October 2015, offering a great forum to showcase the capabilities of the UK’s bus and coach companies.

This acceleration in demand is putting pressure on businesses operating in the commercial vehicle sector to recruit high calibre people and take full advantage of the buoyant market conditions. Henry Noteman continues: “At Coach & Bus Live we are looking forward to discussing how we can support businesses within this unique sector to realise their talent acquisition plans. We are finding that employers in this industry are having to work harder than ever to attract talented professionals; this is partly due to the much publicised shortage of technical and professional skills in the UK but also to the increased competition from other associated streams such as automotive, off highway and transport.

“Our consultative, specialist recruitment support and partnership approach can help businesses secure the talent required to underpin their growth.”

To meet the team from Jonathan Lee Recruitment visit stand No. H40 at the NEC, Birmingham between the 30th September and 1st October 2015. To pre-book an appointment please call 01384 446120.
