Last week, the JLR team was treated to an evening of great food, rockin’ live music and of course great company at our end-of-summer party for 2017.

Hosted at the fantastic Harley’s Smokehouse Orangery and cocktail bar in Kinver, the evening kicked off with a welcome from Jonathan Lee, our Chairman, who congratulated everyone on their hard work and success for the year to date, welcoming new members of the team and setting our goal to make 2017 another record year for the business.

It was also an opportunity to celebrate two birthdays in the team, with Hilary Wilding and Kerry Duggan both receiving a special mention and gift.

The hotly anticipated prize draw for an overnight spa break for two at The Belfry was next. As the crowd held its breath, Jonathan drew the winning ticket (drum roll please...) and the winner was Jessica Williams from our contract team!

Jess, who declared ‘I never win anything’ after scooping the Red Nose Day sweepstake earlier this year, can now safely say ‘I win everything!' Congratulations Jess – we hope you have a great time!

The evening moved on with some mouth-watering authentic American smokehouse cuisine. All the favourites were served; smoked baby-back ribs, chicken wings and pulled pork all proved very popular with the hungry crowd.  And let's not forget the delicious gelato for dessert.

With everyone fuelled up for the night ahead, live music was provided by the excellent Tovey Brothers. The team hit the dance floor early, eager to show off their best moves. The band, who has previously played at Birmingham’s Jam House, kept the dance floor bouncing right up to the end of the night.  Our thanks to Jayme, Dan, Matt and Ash for two great sets!

Whilst the evening ended with no casualties, it’s safe to say that several team members were guilty of some criminal dance moves!

The whole team would like to say a big thank you to David and Jonathan for the event. We are all really looking forward to the next one!
