Specialist engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy, Jonathan Lee Recruitment, has launched an Asset Management division to support growing demand for specialised engineering, management and director level professionals across the private equity, energy and infrastructure markets.

Spanning the full life cycle of physical assets from acquisition, procurement, commissioning, construction and operations, the division has evolved to source highly skilled engineering specialists to support the whole life management and delivery of critical capital projects.

Associate Director, Les Hines, who heads the Asset Management business, explains: “The energy sector is undergoing a massive transformation. Not only is it transitioning from traditional to renewable generation, assets and infrastructure are also undergoing major renewal, with new connected technologies radically shifting the types of skills needed to meet industry needs.

“As a Corporate Member of The Institute of Asset Management, we are dedicated to building on our considerable experience and knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors to help our clients future-proof the skills they need to protect and develop their assets at a time of increasing demand for talent, in a global, Brexit Britain setting. “It’s an extremely exciting time for the sector, given the technological changes and innovation taking place across the board. In fact, skills and capabilities around managing change in the sector are becoming as important as technical understanding.

“Digital technology, information and data analysis are challenging all aspects of asset management and indeed the entire energy and infrastructure models of the future and we expect to see an even wider range of engineers from civil, mechanical and electrical through to software and analytical technologies entering the asset management markets,”.
