Jonathan Lee Recruitment at the University of Birmingham

Posted by: Tom Webb-Skinner 19 Feb 14 - 5:41PM  | Recruitment

As a specialist engineering recruiter for more than 35 years, we know where top talent comes from and amongst a number of exceptional UK universities that produce the best engineers; the University of Birmingham is definitely one of them.

It was an easy decision for us to warmly accept an invite to attend the university's Careers Lab on Tuesday 18th February, a recruitment fair put on by the university's careers service, Careers Network, that brings together a number of companies and institutions to talk to the university's current undergraduates. The event is designed to inform them about the opportunities available to them and, for hiring companies, attract the newest top engineers to join them.

Kirsty Brannon, Automotive Recruitment Consultant at Jonathan Lee, was really impressed with the event, "the calibre of students coming to talk to us was very high, it isn't difficult to appreciate why an organisation like ours should be present at these events." It seems that the students definitely saw the benefit too, adding "it was great to be able to present them with the notion of getting straight into a job, using their skills, and that there are very good alternatives to grad schemes."

This comes as part of a greater focus on the engineers of tomorrow at Jonathan Lee Recruitment, with the recent launch of our portal for graduates – www.jonlee.co.uk/graduates - where we host all of our graduate-level vacancies along with advice on CVs, Assessment Centres and Interviews.
