Farnborough International Airshow 2014

Posted by: Tom Webb-Skinner 16 May 14 - 11:59AM  | Aerospace

This year’s Farnborough International Airshow is quickly coming upon us and as the Aerospace and Defence team is exhibiting there this year a good deal of our time is being spent on the organisation and arrangements. From what we can tell with feedback and discussions with our clients and contacts everyone appears to be really looking forward to this year’s event. 2012 was excellent with the amount of positive news and orders that were announced, whilst this year the expectation is maybe not as strong there are still many great features of the show and we all know it is seen as the place to be for meetings and networking opportunities.

This is the first time that Jonathan Lee Recruitment has exhibited at the FIA, but we hope that it will give us the springboard to show the level of knowledge and experience within our team and provide the opportunity to show many new and existing clients the reasoning and background to 'Solutions through understanding'.

The Aero & Defence team have been consistently busy during the past 12 months and it appears the need for experienced, qualified quality personnel is as strong as ever – even if the sector does not appear to be developing any brand new aircraft programmes in the near future. Working closely with the MAA and other industry Associations we have been involved with a number of programmes where our particular expertise in design, engineering and most specifically the Lean/Continuous improvement functions have been of interest to clients.

It appears that the market need is all around new materials, system improvements, costs down and efficiency improvements to continue to push the UK Aerospace sector forward so we hope that we can work with you to help the progression forward.
