Lean mean biking machine Congratulations to Michael Moreton, who recently took part in the York 100 mile Bike Ride in aid of Action Medical Research. Michael, a consultant in lean/change/six sigma and a former candidate and now a client of Jonathan Lee over several years, raised £500 in total for the charity. The ride lasted seven and a half hours and Michael trained every other day for the six weeks leading up to the ride. “I cycle regularly but this was my first ride for charity,” Michael says “It was just one of those things that I felt I had to do in life. The best part of preparing for it was getting out on my bike, and I actually lost about 2 stone in training! As for the ride – it was well organised and friendly and it felt great crossing the line and getting the medal! I could still feel the bike under me for days though!” Michael intends to keep up with the cycling and take part in more rides next year. “Many thanks to Jonathan Lee for their sponsorship and support, and as Arnie says, ‘I’ll be back!’ - for more sponsorship that is!” |
