Integrated HR deliver training to lean team

Integrated HR (Jonathan Lee Recruitment’s HR consultancy arm) completed a Soft Skills Enhancement training session designed to help lean consultants manage difficult situations. A major Aerospace Company requested the training to be delivered at their prestigious European management and training centre in Europe. Having supported the company in the assessment and selection of its team of lean specialists over the last three years, Integrated HR was asked to deliver a programme, incorporating coaching and conflict management that would help the team to work constructively with the company’s existing employees and effectively manage any conflict issues that arise.

Despite having to battle through the severe January weather, Integrated HR made it to mainland Europe and delivered the half day programme to a group of 45 individuals. It involved both theoretical elements and practical exercises, which helped to consolidate the learning.
Henry Noteman, Operations Manager for Integrated HR, said: “It can be very difficult as a lean consultant, entering a business and advising others on how they can do their job more effectively. You will often come up against resistance and sometimes conflict, which can be counterproductive. We delivered a session to raise awareness of how taking a coaching approach to working with others can help to alleviate these issues, as well as providing the team with ways to manage conflict should it arise. The success of the training, following the original lean assessment programme, highlights the breadth of Integrated HR’s services and expertise.”

Initial feedback to the programme was good, with 100% of delegates saying the programme was well run and 72% seeing the immediate value.
